Creative Pictou County has evolved to promote, support and connect the artistic community, illuminate the creative economy, and promote its growth. In doing so, Creative PC serves as an arts council that celebrates existing talents, contributions, creative products and networks of arts and culture. Our mission is to promote, support and connect the artistic community, illuminate the creative economy, and promote its growth.

Since 2013, there have been many milestones including the creation of a directory of skills and artists, business skill development, studio tours, and technique workshops. Creative PC serves to create opportunities for connection, which is the catalyst for ongoing creative growth, learning and enthusiasm for the future.
Artists are busy with their craft and are often the best kept secret. We want to share in their beautiful creations, illuminate the people behind their craft, create easy access for the public and provide a virtual venue of connection and promotion. In doing so, Creative PC volunteers have been successful in leveraging existing resources such as provincial and federal grants, sharing regional opportunities, and hosting and collaborating community events.
The Board of Directors are currently working toward a new Creative PC Strategic Plan. They are unveiling the tiered launch of the Creative HUB which captures the thriving arts community via a directory of artists with links that showcase and promote their work, list of venues, classes, and services. The Hub, when completed will be one stop shopping for your creative appetite and will further enhance the creative economy within Pictou County!
